Department of Botany

About the Department

The Department of Botany at Bangurnagar Arts, Science, Commerce and Applied Science College, Dandeli is dedicated to imparting quality education in plant sciences by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The department encourages scientific inquiry, environmental awareness, and research-oriented learning to prepare students for higher education and professional careers.

Botany is a fundamental branch of Biological Sciences that deals with the study of plants, their structure, classification, physiology, genetics, ecology, and economic importance. Through laboratory work, field studies, seminars, and extension activities, the department nurtures students to understand the significance of plants in maintaining ecological balance and supporting sustainable development.
