About NAAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous institution established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India in 1994. Its purpose is to assess and accredit higher education institutions based on the quality of education, infrastructure, governance, student support, research and institutional values.

NAAC promotes continuous improvement in colleges and universities. It encourages institutions to maintain high academic standards, adopt transparent practices and provide a student-centred learning environment.
