📖 About the Department
The Department of English was established in 1974 and has been one of the distinguished departments of Bangurnagar Arts, Science & Commerce College, Dandeli.
The department was initially headed by Late Prof. N. G. Sabhahit, who laid a strong academic foundation. Later, Prof. Saleha Khayum guided the department successfully for more than three decades and contributed significantly towards its academic growth.
The department is committed to providing quality education in English Language and Literature while developing communication skills, creativity, confidence and critical thinking among students.
Through ICT-enabled teaching, seminars, literary activities, workshops, Functional English programmes and student-centred learning, the department prepares students for higher education, research, employment and lifelong learning.
