DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY

Zoology as one of the minor subject was introduced in the year 1976, particularly to cater the need of students pursuing medical course until three equal subjects scheme was incorporated by the university in the curriculum during the year 1989. Prof. C G Hegde was the founder Head ofDepartment of Zoology. After his retirement in the year 2002, several guest faculties served the department on temporary basis and at present Prof. Smt. Nayana Revankar, Assistant Professor, serving as the Head of the department.

Library Books:

Our management is kind enough to provide adequate number of books which have made available in the central library. There are 675 volumes available in the library. The following periodicals are subscribed in the subject.
